Paper Heroes Chapter 1
Not what I expected -- in a good way. What an interesting take on super heroes! I loved that they *seemed* like real super heroes, but they weren't and how they pulled it off made total sense. The moral quandaries the main character has to grapple with were really well done and I especially love that everyone, villain or hero, had to face real consequences for their actions. Great read. Highly recommend. - READERONE
Fresh New Superhero World! This is an excellent origin story, not only of a single superhero but of a world that soon finds itself populated with more supervillains than it can handle. It’s an engaging read that follows the exploits of Stewart, an average guy who just tries to make ends meet while trying to do the right thing. He soon finds, however, that the right thing becomes complicated, when super powers are involved. If you’re looking for a fresh well thought out superhero world, this is one I recommend trying out. - FREA
"Heroes" are complicated. Steven Heumann wrote a captivating story. He starts with an average marketing employee with friends and a family. Offers him bold risks and a lesson in chaos theory. The scripted story lines and strange new technology add layers. The time stamped chapters push the story along. The average guy fights for what he believes in Mr. Heumann's first book. - M. PEASE
Gripping story of what is a superhero. After reading the first chapter (in the free preview), I knew I wanted to see where this story went. The novel hooked me, I wanted to go on this journey with the characters. As the story built, it became harder and harder to put down. What choices would these individuals make, and what would be the very real consequences of their choices? Fantastic read! I look forward to more from the author. - M. JOHNSON
